Sampling of juvenile trout is ongoing as part of the genetics work in WPT2. In July 2018, project partners Bretagne Grands Migrateurs  and INRA have sampled both Montafilan and Ic rivers in Côtes d’Armor (Brittany, France), in collaboration with FDAAPPMA22. The samples will be used to build a genetic baseline for sea trout rivers in the France Channel England area. The final aim is to identify the river of origin of sea trout caught at sea or in transitional waters, and to assess their preferred routes of migration.
